Grammy’s Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 heaping teaspoons cocoa
  • 1/8 Tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tsp vanilla

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 deg F. Grease an 8 inch square glass Pyrex dish with butter (use wax paper with soft butter on it to grease the dish)
Cream together the sugar and butter. Add the 2 beaten eggs, flour, cocoa, vanilla and salt. Sir until nicely combined.
Spread in the bottom of the Pyrex dish.
Brown
Bake 20 - 25 minutes until just cooked. Overcooking will result in tough dry brownies.

Ice while warm. Serve plain or with ice cream.
