Steak, mushrooms and peppers are marinated in an herbed red wine and oil mixture and then made into kabobs which are barbecued.
Often times you see prepared skewers for sale in the meat section of the local butcher shop or grocery store. You should be wary when you see raw mushrooms or peppers on the skewers. The mushrooms need to be marinated or moistened or they will dry out and break when cooking. The peppers need to be blanched so that they are soft enough to be skewered and will stay moist and together when cooking.
These Steak, Mushroom & Pepper Kabobs are marvelous. I served them recently with my Asparagus with Orange Vinaigrette.
Delicious!
