Quick Steak and Mushroom Kabobs

Quiick Steak and Mushroom Kabobs

In this recipe we use a prime cut of beef.  It does not need to be marinated to make it tender.

The steak is seasoned with steak spice and horseradish.  The mushrooms are marinated in barbecue sauce for 20 minutes, so they will not dry out or crack when skewered.

Quick Steak and Mushroom Kabobs are a perfect Friday night after work dinner.  The can be prepared in 20 minutes and cooked on the barbecue while the fresh corn is being cooked, the fresh tomatoes are being slice and the table is being set.

Enjoy!

Brush any dirt off the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and then marinate them for 20 minutes in the barbecue sauce.
Quick Steak and Mushroom Kabobs - marinate the mushrooms
Cut the steak into kabob sized bites and thread the steak, mushroom and pepper pieces onto a metal skewer (or wooden skewer that has been soaked in water while the mushrooms are marinating). Continue until all the meat, mushrooms and peppers have been used. Generously brush the skewers with the barbecue sauce.
Quick Steak and Mushroom Kabobs - ready for the bbq
Barbecue over medium hot coals, turning frequently for about 12 - 15 minutes. The vegetables should be cooked and the steak will still be pink inside.
