Roasted Chicken Wings

roasted chicken wings

The problem with a lot of the chicken wings that you find in the frozen food section of the grocery store, is that they are heavily breaded and very expensive.

This is a simple recipe for yummy chicken wings with no breading. If you prefer your wings a little milder or hotter, just vary the regular/spicy sauce combination.  You may prefer to use honey garlic sauce on half of the wings and spicy sauce on the other half.

This recipe should make enough for four people with a salad; usually allow 1/2 lb (250 gm) of wings per person.

Roasted Chicken Wings

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 Lb. or 1kg split wing chicken wings (You can use regular chicken wings, but will have to cut through the wing tip and separate from the drumette portion)
  • JE* (just enough) Keg Chicken and Rib seasoning (or you can just use salt and pepper)
  • 1/4 cup regular barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 q cup spicy barbecue sauce

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 deg F.
Line a ridged cookie sheet with parchment paper (or tin foil, if you do not have parchment paper). Lay the split wings on the parchment paper in an even layer. Sprinkle with the Keg seasoning.
Bake 25 minutes, turning twice during the cooking.
Mix the regular and hot barbecue sauces together in a small bowl. Turn the wings one more time and using a pastry or silicone brush, spread on the sauce. Bake 5 more minutes or until the sauce is heated. If you prefer a hotter wing, then use less of the regular sauce and more of the spicy sauce.
