Roasted Garlic Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 Large head of garlic
  • 1 Tbsp your best olive oil (may substitute with chipolte olive oil)
  • crusty bread, toasted baguette slices or crackers

Directions

Peel away the dry outer layers of skin from 1 head of garlic, leaving skins and cloves intact. Cut off the pointed top portion ( leaving the bulb intact but exposing the individual cloves. Place the garlic head, cut side up in a custard cup.

Drizzle with a little olive oil.

Cover with foil and bake in a 425 deg F oven for 30 - 40 minutes or until the cloves feel soft when pressed. Set aside just until cool enough to handle.
Roasted Garlic Spread - bake until cloves are soft
Squeeze out the garlic paste from individual cloves. Spread on crusty bread, toasted baguette slices or crackers.
